To Whom it May Concern,
3rd
November 2009
I
just wanted to drop a note to thank Karla Darocas so
much for all of her help and support teaching me all
about the principles of Photoshop, Setting up a Web
Site, and Setting up a Blog/Ning.
In
the limited time that I spent with her, I felt that
I learned a huge amount. Her own knowledge and
expertise were very evident, and it was so
reassuring that she was willing to share that so
openly with me – and at an extremely competitive
hourly rate.
She was very patient with a computer novice and went
at a pace to suit my learning. Her style was
very relaxed and friendly, and informative, and she
guided me very gently through what was originally a
very frightening maze. She was adaptable and
prepared to work to my own agenda, rather than a
rigid and overly structured regime.
I
know that my business partners and husband have been
extremely impressed with what I have learned and
achieved, and I would have no hesitation
recommending Karla to anyone!
With best wishes,
Ann Mather

To Whom it May Concern,
Many thanks for herr
wonderful help in doing my webpage. It was really
fun working and finishing it on my own. Although I
am always a bit short in time and we were working
very fast and efficient together. I am now only
missing the translation in German - what I will hope
to finish it by next weekend.
I am very proud of
my work, thanks of her, Karla. Her just have the
right kick to handle people and to transmit herr
skills - and to an unbelievable favourable price.
Her know how things
have to be and I am profiting of herr insider
knowledge. I am convinced that nowadays we have to
be in the net with our business. More and more
people do not read anymore newspapers nor listening
to radio/TV - just only "see pictures" and do
everything over the computer.
Thanks to my new
webpage I have nearly every day some inquiries. I
dearly do recommend Karla to everybody - she is
great.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am very fortunate, to have met
Karla. I think she has great teaching skills, because I can turn the
lessons immediately into practice without any struggle. I will
certainly get further lessons in the near future and I can highly
recommend her skills to everybody, I know.
I just wish I could join more of
Karla's activities, because she is great fun to be with.

"I write this testimonial
with many, many thanks to Karla for the marvelous job she has done
on my website .. which was a bit of a disaster before she made the
wonderful changes to it. I am extremely pleased with it and have
gotten two out of the blue inquiries just today, which I'm sure I
would never have received if she hadn't gotten me coming up first on
Yahoo.
Before now, I was
somewhat reluctant to send people to my site because it wasn't very
good or representative of my work, but I now I take real pleasure in
sending them there. She is great to work with, and seemed to know
exactly what my site needed, without me even saying a word!!!!!
It had been some time
since we had been in touch and I did not realize she was as skilled
at website design as she really is - and I would highly recommend
Karla to any and all folks who are looking to have an amazing site
built!!!!!
We've both had some
adventures since we first met here in Oshawa, Ontario some 8 years
ago and the fact that she can build such a great site from half a
world away - speaks for itself."

"Karla is the energy in energetic and
my observation is that she has a passion for visual as well as narrative
communication.
I continue to be struck by Karla's endless artistic capability and
positive energy as well as stretching her personal resources and time to
publish meaningful communication pieces and web vehicles.
Her latest project on the Ning opportunity network for recognizing
leaders in their field and highlighting the lessons they have learned
equally from their successes and failures is textbook of how Karla finds
a way to harness technology, as well as being relevant to her space and
time.
Karla is someone who her can count on for any communication(s) project
that her may want to undertake. The proof is in the publishing."

Hello, My name is Robert Harris, and I am the
Co-founder of the European School of Craniosacral Therapy
I hired Karla to help me set up a new web page
with videos and slides, and to produce a professional power point
presentation.
She has taught me how-to be independent of
the existing web page designers and to take back the control of
producing my own web page using Front Page. Karla has also shown me
neat ways to produce video and slide material to enhance the web
page and presentations at minimum cost.
Her technology tools and strategies have taught
me many shortcuts to saving money and time.
Karla teaching style is professional and
oriented towards improving my skills without creating a dependency
on her. She is very refreshing in the web page world.
I would recommend Karla as a qualified and
knowledgeable freelance educator because she cuts through the jargon
and empowers the client.

Hello, My name is Jill Tyler of Moraira Luxury

I hired Karla because I decided I needed to
know a lot more about internet marketing to save having to hire an
expert every time my business needed a boost or new strategy.
Someone recommended Karla and I am so pleased I took up the
opportunity.
Karla has taught me how-to, not only publish
a website, but to make that website interesting and modern and
enjoyable. She has taught me that I can actually have the site
exactly how I want it. And most helpfully, how easy it is to
change it and add to it as circumstances arise.
She has taught me how-to make my own
videos with music, and how-to use these videos to market my business
- for free.
I love
Karla's teaching style because she doesn't have a set format to
lessons. She simply sees what comes up, in my quest to advance my
business, and then teaches me how-to achieve it. I really
appreciate that I can focus on what I personally need to learn. She
helps me to think about how-to expand my business. She makes some
excellent suggestions , as she has a fabulous common sense attitude
to business and in particular marketing. Her advice is freely given
, so its an added & welcome bonus.
I would Absolutely recommend Karla as a
qualified and knowledgable freelance educator .

Karla as a qualified and knowledgeable freelance educator.

I hired Karla,

how-to write a business plan and how-to monitor the grown of my
business - and then track the reality back to my business plan.
I am now learning
how-to build a website and an online database. She has taught me how
to use "web-based" tools and a number of "free" online graphic
tools.
Karla has so much
information to impart and share. She is calm and encouraging and
doesn't shout (like my husband!!). Karla also makes it fun, which is
an important part of learning.

To Whom it May
Concern,
Everyone has
said so much about Karla Darocas. What can I add to the long
list of attributes, skills and talents? I agree with each
and every word that has been said.
I have found
Karla smart, organized, available, prolific, sensitive,
willing and very energetic and what I think that this aspect
- is one of her most important characteristics. She has real
vision.
However, what
I love most about Karla is her incredible courage and
immense generosity. I feel that we live in a society
dominated by men who for centuries have hung on to knowledge
and succeeded in disempowering women throughout the ages.
Men have done such an effective job that they have left
almost half of their own species in ignorance, as
second-class citizens and certainly at a huge disadvantage
within the global economic pie. Men and society do this via
a well-studied and observed sociological and economical
phenomenon, part of which is acquiring and retaining the
power and keeping their skills and expertise a close-guarded
secret. The consequence of living in a male-centred society
and a male-respected environment means that not only do men
maintain society’s imbalance, sadly women also uphold the
same society’s values and ideas.
As I was
saying, the thing I love most about Karla is her generosity
and sharing, not part, not segments or fragments, but ALL of
her knowledge, expertise, understanding and skills that she
has spent many hours researching and learning. And I love
her courage. She is not afraid of letting go of that
knowledge. She is not worried that by sharing her skills,
this may in some way impoverish her. Karla is not terrified
of letting others learn. Karla positively encourages, and in
fact insists, that other women and I empower ourselves and
gain knowledge in the face of a constantly oppressive
society.
Additionally
she is an excellent teacher and has taught me more in a few
brief hours than I could have learnt over months on the
internet. Whatever she tells me is backed up with hours of
research. She never misleads nor muddles me. She is always
helpful between our sessions and she is forward-looking.
She is
ingenuous and I thank her and recommend her to anyone who is
thinking about having classes. Start now – I wish I had
started earlier. She has an enormous amount of knowledge and
experience, plenty of patience and a whole heap to give.

I have known Karla for more than 5 years now.
When I first met her, she
had only recently arrived in Spain and during this period of
time, I have seen her start and develop a number of very
successful projects.
The truth is, that she is one of these people that always
“makes things happen.” Her enthusiasm for her projects
whether they are photography / videography, IT or
health-related, women's issues - are infectious and
genuine.
She works in a professional manner and is willing to give of
herself freely.
Her support for charities and other good causes is
legendary.
Irrelevant of whether
her have a current requirement to
network with Karla or not, I most sincerely recommend that
her make contact with her. Her never know what might

June 2007
I have known Karla
Darocas for more than three years now. We met through the Women
In Business Club, where Karla was organising an educational
evening of Natural Health. It was a very successful evening and
I was not only impressed with Karla's enthusiasm for her chosen
cause but also with her professionalism throughout the whole
evening. This was to be the start of a long and successful
relationship within the Women In Business Club.
The success
of this organisation very much depends on the hard work and
dedication of Karla, keeping everybody informed and working
together as a team to keep the Issue of Domestic Violence very
much in the news and giving women in crisis a very much needed
lifeline. Without the skills and knowledge of Karla acting as
the organ grinder, sending relevant information out to us daily,
this group would not be the success it is today.
Karla
introduced another of her skills to us recently with regard to
internet video and encouraging people to share their skills and
knowledge through the internet. Being in front of a camera is
something that makes me very very nervous and when asked, I was
hesitant.
I must say,
that Karla was very professional and made me feel at ease
immediately. The whole experience did not interfere with my
working day and overall was enjoyable, fun and interesting. I
certainly won't be hesitant next time!

After several months of debating who to get to set up my webpage

My
working relationship with Karla found her to be honest and refreshing.
She has a level of professionalism unsurpassed.
Her dedication to getting it done is why she has been so
successful.
We
worked together for approximately a year and in that time she was
resilient to getting things done.
She

In
addition to seeing Karla’s photo’s in “Seen”, on the Web, I was
fortunate to have Karla’s at my wedding where she was kind enough to

They were perfect.

The Record 225 Fairway Road South, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, N2G 4E5 March 2002
This is to confirm
freelance journalist / photo-journalist Karla Ingleton-Darocas's role as
a culture commentator and arts motivator in the Grand River communities
of Southwestern Ontario.
Karla wrote a weekly
column for The Record, the central newspaper for this region and took
all her own photos, from 1994 to 1996. She focused on herng musicians,
blues artists and visual artists. Her columns were both informative to
readers and instructive to artists themselves.
Beyond the value Karla
brought to The Record through research and well-informed opinion, she
taught by personal example.
Karla showed emerging
entrepreneurs how to open a gallery, run an arts center, publish a
magazine, create an internet presence, organize business seminars, and
develop their own voice on public radio and in print... in short, how to
run their own careers professionally.
Prior to Karla writing
for this newspaper, The Record wrote about Karla, tracking her
professional presence in the community since 1990. Karla organized art
gallery tours, established a performance center, published books and
created Zona Canada - a multi-media company that included a magazine,
internet and radio formats... as well as a newspaper column.
Karla continued to
write timely stories for The Record after moving to Bowmanville, her
hometown, where she revitalized a community of artistic entrepreneurs in
Eastern Ontario.
Her legacy here
remains. Zona Radio continues to highlight local musicians, and her
column for The Record is now written by members of the arts community
she profiled.
I wish Karla all the
best in her relocation from California, to Zurich and to Spain.

further clarification regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to

My
name is Mary Anne Epp and I am an artist in Kitchener Ontario, Canada.
I’ve
come to know Karla through the superb work she does as a photographer
as well as through working together with her on one of her Music &
Literature Education Conferences, which she created and co-ordinated,
right here at our Kitchener City Hall.
And I’ve been lucky enough to know her for about 20 years
now.
Karla
did a couple photo shoots for me a few years back and I was delighted
with her work. The photo
we selected then for my press package is still one of my favourites.
As a matter of fact it hangs on the wall in my teaching studio.
Lately, I’ve taken to following her work via her web-site and
Karla never fails to impress me with her good work.
If
I can tell her anything about Karla it’s this; she has an abundance
of creativity, she has an excellent eye and great timing, she
possesses a beautiful sense of adventure and last but certainly not
least, she has integrity. When
Karla says she is going to do something, she does it, with both grace
and flare.
I
hope this letter helps her to understand better who Karla Ingleton-Darocas
is and what she’s capable of.
If
her have any questions, please feel free to call, write or email me at
the above particulars.

My name is John A. Mills (AKA Johnny V).
I am a successful producer, composer, arranger and independent
multiple award winning international recording artist from Canada.
I have
known Karla Darocas (Ingleton) for more than 20 years on a business
and professional level. Throughout those years here in Canada I have
found her to be intelligent, well educated, trustworthy,
perspicacious, dedicated and steadfast about her work.
I first met her
through my dealings with a company called ZONA CANADA (a successful
business which Karla most single-handedly developed.) ZONA was
dedicated to the betterment of independent artists worldwide by
publishing articles which contained evaluative, and critical
discourse.
Her next business
venture was an online magazine called SEEN MAGAZINE. Again Karla
cultivated the concept on her own and published excellent reviews and
photography. SEEN was an award winning online publication that was
eventually sold to a firm in California where Karla relocated to
oversee the online publishing and photography of the magazine.
Her journalistic
skills are clever, accurate and genuinely informative, and as for her
photography, well all I can say is she has the eye of a true artist
whenever she focuses and clicks the shutter of her camera.
I would highly
recommend Karla for any position her may be considering her for. In
closing I would like to say I dearly miss her sagacity and wish her
all the success in her career and marriage.

During
the past five years I have come to know and work with Ms Karla Darocas

I was

responsibilities under the most challenging of circumstances. Her flair
for detail, design and delivery was impressive to me to observe and for
others to experience as they recounted to me in subsequent

On
several occasions, Ms Darocas was able to create and compose stunning
photography, which she displayed professionally as part of the online

composed as well as colorful. Her pictures tell a three dimensional
story with one-dimensional technology using the elements composition of

I am
delighted to offer the strongest of accolades for the multi-talents and

strongest talent is in the composition of a photograph combining the

I am writing to offer a
professional reference of Mrs. Karla Darocas.
As an artist myself, I
became acquainted with Mrs. Darocas about three years ago when I was
involved with SEEN.com, a magazine for which I did some illustration.
In seeing the other
visual content of the magazine, it was apparent that Karla was quite
involved in shooting the journalistic photos needed to cover the various
stories she wrote for SEEN.com.
She has maintained a
substantial gallery of travel oriented images, featuring historical and
tourist sites from California, Switzerland and Spain.
She has a keen eye for
some interesting detail studies of marketplaces, architecture and
romantic lakeside settings.
From my experience with
her, I know Karla to be a keen and energetic journalist and photographer
with an extensive knowledge and understanding of the ‘CYBER WORLD’
we live and operate in.
Her strength in this
area is profound and should serve her, and any potential employer very
well.

To Whom it May Concern,
Rhonda Stirling Edinburgh, Scotland. UK
To whom it may concern:
My name is Rhonda
Stirling and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K. Currently I
am working on a cookbook to be published as part of Celtic Connections
10th Anniversary celebrations. It features a collection of recipes from
musicians who have performed at the festival in Glasgow.
I worked professionally
with Karla as Co-Founder of Aficionada Arts and
Entertainment Network, Canada, between 1991 and 1994.
Karla was the backbone
and creative force behind many diverse projects. These included the
design and photography for the cover artwork for several recordings of
singer/songwriters and the promotional material produced to accompany
them.
Aficionada also
published a cookbook with recipes from a diverse range of
musicians including the chart topping Crash Test Dummies and the
Barenaked Ladies, and where possible, Karla's photos of the artists were
used to accompany the recipes.
At this time Karla had
her own dark room. She was working with traditional film and yet
experimented with unusual developing techniques. From start to finish
she was in control of the whole creative process, turning photographs
into artwork became her speciality.
Karla's home became a
neighbourhood gallery displaying to the public her creative works as a
surrealist painter and photographer. Her abilities in this line
also stretched to traditional photo restoration and hand colouring, all
techniques needed before the advances of digital photography and
computer manipulation, which now Karla has mastered to boot.
Karla has never been
afraid of keeping abreast of new technology and has the ability to
foresee trends.
During my time working
with Karla she was interviewing performers, (both local and
international stars) and writing regular features for Spotlight
Magazine, South Western Ontario's Entertainment Guide. Together we were
writing and publishing Aficionada Fanzine which was filled with the
music and art of the day. To back up her interviews Karla took portrait
photographs of the artists to accompany the articles or live concert
photos, rather than using the run of the mill photos provided by the
agents.
Everything that Karla
does has her own creative stamp on it! The artist in her is never
suppressed and it is with an in-depth knowledge of art, a passion for
life, for creating something unique that speaks to people, that she
approaches everything she does. Through her art, whatever form, she will
communicate, document, tell stories, transform the mundane, apture the
moment...
To this day I have
photos taken by Karla hanging on my office wall, and they are out of the
ordinary!
After reading the other letters of recommendation I can only confirm
100% the respect shown for Karla and her work. They are the pieces of a
jigsaw that inter link. They present a full picture of Karla's
professional history and abilities. Best Wishes, Rhonda J. Stirling
To Whom it May Concern,
Dear Sir/Madame
I have been involved in
numerous artistic and entrepreneurial projects with Karla since 1991.
Many of these projects were born of Karla's visual arts experience and
multitude of photographic talents.
Karla has made it her
life's goal to study the works of the the great masters of the visual
arts, the first photographers, the surrealists, and the pop icons of the
twentieth century. She possesses at once, a keen eye a flair for the
"hip" and a very strong work ethic.
Karla is dedicated to
the sharing of the beauty that surrounds her.
Karla Darocas comes
highly recommended.
