The Heart Behind My Crochet Art
For me, crochet is more than a craft; it’s a quiet meditation, a soulful dance between imagination and thread. Each piece begins in silence, with nothing more than an idea, a whisper of colour, a feeling, a vision of something beautiful waiting to come alive.
Instead of a paintbrush, I hold a crochet hook. Instead of canvas, I work with the most exquisite Spanish organic cotton, soft, durable, eco-friendly, and kind to the earth. It’s comforting to know that what I create today can one day return gently to the soil that gave it life.
As the yarn slips through my fingers, time slows. The rhythm of each stitch is soothing, almost like a heartbeat. My hands move, my mind quiets, and what begins as nothing slowly transforms into something tangible, wearable art that carries warmth, patience, and soul.
Crocheting keeps my mind alive and my heart open. It challenges me to visualise shapes and patterns before they exist, to bring harmony from chaos, to turn a simple thread into beauty that can be worn, touched, and treasured.
And then there is the moment of sharing, of giving a handmade piece to someone else. That’s where the magic completes its circle. Because when we give something we’ve poured our time, energy, and love into, it lights up both souls, the giver and the receiver.
Each piece of wearable art, each stitch, is a tiny celebration of creation itself, proof that beauty can emerge from stillness, from care, from the humble act of making something with our own two hands.
That’s why I crochet. To connect. To create. To keep the art of humanity alive in a world that’s moving too fast.
